I went to one of my favorite stores, Madison, yesterday and saw these little puppies on the shelf. I thought they were going to be YSL, but when I looked, to my surprise, they were Elizabeth and James! While $450 isn't necessarily a discounted price, it is a lot better than what they would have been if they were in fact YSL.

I got this email from Intermix and it made me realize how much I love Equipment. Equipment isn't a new line by any means. Christian Restoin (as in, Carine Roitfeld's longtime partner and baby daddy) started it in 1976, later selling it in 1998. But thanks to pal Serge Azria, CEO and creative director of Joie and Current/Elliott, they were back in business as of this spring, with Restoin acting as creative consultant. They have stayed close to the signature Equipment look: silk, menswear-inspired, tailored blouses with two breast flap pockets. Carine rocks the shirts all the time. And honestly, that's good enough endorsement for me.
While the obvious fashion endorsement doesn't hurt, what makes these blouses great is that you can wear them so many ways. They're the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe because (as Carine shows) you can wear them with a pencil skirt for work, or even with jeans.
Here are some product shots from Shopbop and Intermix.
I love Freja Beha Erichsen. This girl is everywhere!!! When we both had dark brown bobs, people would tell me I looked like her, and it was probably the best thing I had ever heard. This amazing editorial is called Modern Love from the August issue of Interview magazine. Photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer, rock the mod look in Clavin Klein, Miu Miu, and Valentino.

I've now seen this picture on 3 other blogs (and counting), but I really couldn't not post it.
This is a great outfit for a summer night out! Can she ever look uncool?
On a side note, how dope is that sparkly leopard?! Can I get one of those for my house please? I think it would be great at parties.

Vanessa Hudgens looked amazing last night at her bf's Charlie St. Cloud premiere. The hair, the makeup and the dress are all perfect on her. I love that she always looks age appropriate, which is very refreshing to see among young starlets. She really knows how to work her boho chic style on and off the red carpet.
According to Just Jared, her dress is Reem Acra, shoes are Jimmy Choo and bag is Ferragamo.

As a child, I was no stranger to desserts. My parents were always baking treats for us on the weekends. My Mamaw has never bought a cake from a store. And my Grandmama bakes every single dessert so perfectly, so precisely, that an entire afternoon should be cleared for the creation of a birthday cake.
Every birthday and holiday memory I have has a different signature cake, pie, or cookie. My wedding cake was a tower of vanilla cupcakes, with each cupcake topped with an orange fondant circle that had "Mr. and Mrs." stamped into it. We have a chocolate bundt cake at my grandma's every year on my brother's birthday. He loves it so much they named it "The Jake Cake." For the big Junior Prom pre-dinner, my dad made my Aunt Deanna's legendary fruit pizza for dessert. It was sweet and tasty, but light enough not to be suffocated by those tight prom dress corsets. The desserts we ate are just as important as the songs we heard and the jokes we told on these monumental nights.
This past Sunday evening, another memory was made, one that I will remember forever: I baked a pie for the first time. We ate it in bed with vanilla bean ice cream. It was apple, to be exact. And it was good. Damn good.
